A&B Glass was founded in 1981 and has
been locally owned and operated for twenty years. A&B
Glass stands for auto and boat glass which were the original
services offered. When Barry purchased A&B Glass in 1988,
he expanded services to include glass replacement for the
home and business. A one-man operation grew to a company with
six employees! We now have office help to assist you with
setting up an appointment and technicians that are trained,
certified and experienced to install your glass!
Barry graduated from Trade School in 1976
Graphic Arts as a Printer Apprentice in Boston, Massachusetts.
He ran a print shop for four years during and after graduating
school. He was offered to purchase the business and wasn’t
ready to buy a print shop at 19 years old. Barry decided to
try a different trade and went into the glass industry in
1980. He attained valuable experience when he worked for Settles
Glass right outside of Boston, Massachusetts from 1982-1984.
This was a full service glass shop covering all facets of
the glass industry similar to A&B Glass. Barry moved across
country to Santa Barbara and immediately went to work for
A&B Glass in 1984. Basically the owner & Barry operated
A&B Glass. Barry was offered to buy the business in 1988
and this time he accepted the opportunity to be a small business
owner! Barry purchased A&B Glass in February of 1988 and
has expanded its services to include Glass services for your
automobile, boat, house or business! Barry’s MISSION
for all work performed is First in Quality & Service!
This mission is included for all jobs, every customer every
day. Barry has always been a quality conscious person and
was able to incorporate this into his business. This is what
makes Barry different from everyone else! He rather turn down
a job if it can’t be done right than to do a job half
right. Barry is very well know in town for working on fine
automobiles, classic cars, the restoration man, a difficult
job that no one can do, he can do! Barry is I-Car certified,
Lynx and Essex Certified. He offers original parts when ever
available and really takes his time educating his customers.
He explains every time the right way to install glass or materials
to have the Absolute Best Job Done!
Pat graduated from San Marcos High School
in 1975 Santa Barbara, California. In 1974 he went to work
for a glass company and later owned his own Auto Glass business
for three Years. In 1988 Pat joined A&B Glass and became
our key employee. Pat is I-Car certified, Lynx and Essex Certified.
He follows factory specifications on all auto glass replacement
and is very well known in Santa Barbara for his impeccable
work as a Senior Auto Glass Technician! Pat is qualified for
all domestic and foreign makes of dealership and nondealership
vehicles and has a long-term background of total restoration
glasswork on vintage vehicles. Every day our customers request
Pat!
Bill graduated from Joseph P. Kefe Technical
Institute, Framingham, Massachusetts in 1976. In 1986 he went
to work for a glass company and later owned his own Glass
business for 3 Years. In 1999 Bill joined A&B Glass as
our Senior Glazier. Bill is trained, experienced and knowledgeable
in all areas of Glass for your home or business. He very well
known in Santa Barbara offering customers what they really
want and need!
Kelly graduated from La Questa,
Santa Barbara, California in 1993. In 1996 she went to work
for a medical company as a customer service representative
and later worked for a local car dealership. In 2000 Kelly
joined A&B Glass and became our key office employee. Kelly
is able to assist you in quotes, setting up appointments,
insurance billing and will make sure you receive first quality
service, glass and materials! She will make sure that you
know what all your options are and make recommendations when
ever necessary to get the job is done right the FIRST time!
Tonie graduated from California Polytechnic
State University in 1994 in San Luis Obispo. In 1991 she went
to work for A&B Glass as a bookkeeper and later worked
in both public and private accounting fields locally in Santa
Barbara . Tonie became very involved in office management
at A&B Glass in 1996. She is able to assist you with quotes,
setting up appointments, billing insurance and making sure
that you are receiving first quality glass and materials.
She will make sure that you know what all your options are
and make recommendations when ever necessary to that the job
is done right the FIRST time!
